A U R A

It is the manifestation of a person's personality or disposition. Most Dream Creatures can sense Auras in the atmosphere around another Dream Creature. A percentage of Dream Creatures can actually see the Aura, visually; a very valuable ability that makes a particular Creature someone to watch out for.

Being able to access the truth nature of a creature gives a person more edge when dealing with difficult situations. Of course, one has to remember that the ability to see is, still, just a supporting ability. A person has to learn to be discerning, observant, quick-thinking, precise and decisive if he wants to make the most of it.

For example, seeing helps a Dream Agent track a Nightmare who has disguised himself as a human in a large crowd. The Agent may not be able to see through the disguise if it were really very good, but he might be able to tell a fake human from a real one anyway because a stressed up Nightmare would find it difficult to suppress the Aura he emits. Humans emit a duller and heavier kind of 'aura' that is easily distinguished from Dream Creature ones. It's really up to the Agent to figure out how to apprehend the Nightmare in the best way possible with all the information he has.

And lastly, for now, there are those who can control Auras as well. They are called Signallers. They can manipulate their own Auras, spreading the intangible energies out to affect others on a subconscious/emotional level.

Trivia~~~

OHM emits a dark, flaring, wispy, tendril-like Aura which makes him appear cold, aloof and unapproachable to people.

SQUID emits a light, glowing, inviting Aura which makes him appear friendly and non-threatening.

FRANQUE emits a narrow but warm, lava-like Aura, which makes him appear friendly but guarded.

And then, there are always those that are impervious towards the effects of Auras. Like Pandachan. Pandas in general have as much Aura as a stack of bricks. Zilch. They're kinda like... voids... black holes that just absorb Auras without them actually being affected. It... goes over their heads. Blissfully unaware of any threatening feelings that might be directed at them. They are a mystery to scientists and researchers in the Dream World as Pandas are clearly not Dream Creatures... nor are they Real World Inhabitants.

+twitch+ This took too long. <_<" Left it for ages in my compy without finishing it cos of various circumstances. Now it is done. It may not be perfect... and ppl may expect more I guess... But I'm just glad that it's... here.

I love the costume designs for the Carnival of Venice... It's so inexplicably beautiful... and mysterious... and grand. When you are in the costume, you become a totally different peson. Must draw them more X3 Those characters are coming up a flight of stairs, btw. Don't think it's entirely obvious.

And i wonder which is ickier... being able to see the inside of Squid's mouth... or looking into the hollow depts of Pandachan's eyeless stare...
